This afternoon, residents gathered for an informative POA (Power of Attorney) Information Session, where they had the opportunity to learn about the importance of planning ahead, protecting their wishes, and making informed decisions for the future.

The session sparked thoughtful questions and meaningful discussion as residents took an active role in understanding their options. Every conversation like this helps build confidence, encourages preparedness, and gives individuals the tools they need to make decisions that best support themselves and their loved ones.

One of our dedicated Resident Service Coordinators regularly walks with residents, no matter the season. Whether it's a beautiful sunny day, a crisp autumn afternoon, or even a light drizzle, he helps turn every walk into a fun and enjoyable experience. 😊

These walks provide more than physical activity. They offer opportunities for conversation, laughter, fresh air, and meaningful connections that strengthen our community. It's amazing to see residents encouraging one another, sharing stories, and making healthy choices together.

Today, we proudly recognize Juneteenth, a day that commemorates June 19, 1865, when the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned of their freedom—more than two years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.

Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of the enduring pursuit of freedom, equality, and justice. It is a day to reflect on our nation's history, honor the resilience and contributions of African Americans, and celebrate the progress that has been made while recognizing the work that still lies ahead.
