Adaptive reuse offers a powerful way to extend the life of existing buildings while meeting today’s programmatic, technical, and market demands. These projects involve layered challenges—outdated systems, structural constraints, and regulatory requirements—but also the opportunity to create spaces with lasting identity and purpose.

FitzGerald brings decades of experience guiding adaptive reuse projects where performance and preservation go hand in hand. From landmarked structures to large-scale repositioning efforts, we combine design excellence with technical rigor to help clients transform aging assets into durable, market-ready places that contribute to their communities.

You may know FitzGerald for larger-scale multifamily and mixed-use work, but neighborhood-scale multifamily has long been part of our practice. Low-rise, townhome, and walkable infill developments are often the projects moving forward today, and they demand the same level of strategic rigor and design intelligence as larger buildings.

FitzGerald partners early with developers to help these projects advance smoothly, combining fluency in zoning and entitlements with the ability to design competitive, marketable housing that truly belongs in its context. From urban infill to transit-oriented suburbs, our dual advantage helps clients move faster through approvals, reduce friction, and deliver housing that performs in the market.

FitzGerald is excited to welcome Sadie Beck, Junior Associate, and Warren LeMay, Associate, to our team.

Sadie joins the firm as a Junior Associate supporting project teams across a range of interior design scopes, including multifamily new construction and renovations, as well as workplace and retail projects. With a background in interior design, she contributes through material and finish selection, FF&E coordination, and drawing production, supporting projects as they move from design development through construction.

Warren joins FitzGerald with experience across multifamily housing, mixed-use projects, and workplace environments, with a particular strength in renovation, adaptive reuse, and historic preservation. He will support several of the firm’s multifamily renovation projects as well as a workplace build-out, bringing a steady, detail-driven approach to working within existing buildings.

We’re glad to have Sadie and Warren on board and look forward to the perspective, curiosity, and energy they bring to our project teams.

Welcome, Sadie and Warren!
