On May 22nd the NAAAIA Chicago 13th annual Scholarship Luncheon was held at the Union League Club in Chicago to a near capacity crowd and was a huge success. We awarded scholarships to 8 outstanding high school seniors captured in the below photo. Our keynote speaker, Joyce Trimuel, SVP, Chief Diversity Officer, CNA Insurance, had an inspiring message that had the attendees wanting more. Thanks to Joyce for her huge contribution to the success of the luncheon. Denise Powell did an excellent job as our MC and thanks to all our speakers who gave of themselves to make this event memorable and enjoyable. The students who spoke at the luncheon were amazing in what they have accomplished in a short period of time and their poise in front of a large audience of people was noteworthy. As the President of the NAAIA Chicago Chapter, I could not be prouder of our board members, supporters and corporate sponsors for the continued success we enjoy as a chapter. Our theme for the luncheon could be our mantra for the year, and that is “Success Has No Limits”.

2018 Scholarship Applications are now available!
Hello NAAIA Members and Supporters:

On May 16, 2018, the 12th annual National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA) Chicago Scholarship Luncheon will be held at the Union League Club in Chicago, Illinois. Over the past eleven years, we have awarded over $110,000 in scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the Chicago area. One of our ongoing missions is to expose young people in our community to the insurance industry and recognize their positive accomplishments during these challenging times.

Through these scholarships, NAAIA Chicago is proud to reach out to the next generation of industry talent. Our theme for 2018 is “Hope Is Not a Strategy”, and by supporting the outstanding academic achievements and personal triumphs of these young people, we cement our legacy and invest in future leaders.

The application and eligibility criteria can be found on the NAAIA Chicago website at www.naaiachicago.org. Please share with students interested in being considered for a scholarships. We encourage students to apply timely using the online application process. Feel free to forward this information to any of your contacts in the Chicago land area who also would be interested in having their son or daughter apply for a NAAIA Chicago Scholarship.
