This morning when I woke up, long before others in the house were awake, I passed by the rooms of our sleeping children, now 12 and 10 years old.
Parents, I’d like to encourage you to actively pray for your kids while they rest. You can literally go into their rooms, lightly place your hands on your sleeping child, and ask God to heal any aspect of their hurting heart, body, or mind. You can pray that God would empower them with courage, with peace, and an unrelenting joy in the Lord.
And when they wake up, pray over them and bless them often. Full is the child who knows that their parents pray for and bless them!
