I might have landed me a $250k a yr contract, 2x more then last years earnings. I only have to drive for 2 days a week and it's closer to home. Sunday & Thursday this is the sucky part. There’s a dad just like you whose daughter is the light of his life too. She’s his little princess just as your daughter is to you. There’s a man just like you who married the woman he fell in love with the first time he saw her, just as you did when you saw her. That brother has buried his sister, that father has buried his daughter, and that husband just buried his wife. All of them needed health care that was no longer available to them. All of them died because there were no doctors left who could treat them, all of them died because the hospitals refused them, and all of them died needlessly. This isn’t a made up story - women in the United States are dying because the reproductive care they need is either next to impossible to get, or not available at all. An abortion ban isn’t just about terminating a fetus; it’s also about saving a woman from a miscarriage, about screening for cancer, about planning for when to start a family. How do you tell your niece and nephew that their mother, your sister, died because you supported politicians that would “make America great again” that took away her health care? How do you justify to your wife who’s grieving just like you over the death of your beautiful daughter that the politicians would “make America great again” by banning all abortions? How do you explain to your children that daddy voted for Trump because “women who had abortions should be punished”? If your sister is alive, if your daughter is alive, if your wife is alive then cherish their lives because there are men in our country right now who’d give anything to have their loved ones back. Your sister, your daughter, your wife need you to step up and think of them and their right to reproductive health care when you vote.
