Making It Mello

Here she is. Custom built by the Hudepohl family, starting in 1991 and finishing in 1993. ⁣

We are the third owners, and the sellers were kind enough to leave us the original blue prints, as well as letters and photos from the original owner highlighting the heart and soul that went into the design. ⁣
⁣
One of the things we loved so much about the space was how easy and comfortable it would be to have community over. ⁣
⁣
We are firm believers in creating homy and comfortable spaces for relationships to grow. Without community, we would be completely different people. While everyone is called to different mission fields; our mission field is the home. A space where we can welcome in the weary and the wonderful, and celebrate together. ⁣

We look forward to filling this space with stories, laughter, relationships, and all the memories to come.

Thanks to the amazing and lovely of .home for always inspiring me to better utilize my iPad more. Was able to start the mockup of our living room design and am preeeeeetty excited about the projected outcome.⁣

The fireplace is getting a complete makeover, along with the wall it’s attached too. I think we’ve landed on the final design for the actual hearth and surround...will share some of the inspo in stories. ⁣

The walls originally had massive built ins which we’ve completely removed and the space feels so much more open. ⁣
⁣
Sam has been busy hanging dry wall, re-wiring, and now we’re ready to start framing out the new fireplace surround. Eeeeeeeee!
