Sean Fahey from our Saddleback, CA location, who joined First Student in September 2024, recently received a handcrafted cedar wood plaque from a student’s father as a heartfelt thank-you for the care and connection he has shown on Route 445. The plaque, personalized with Sean’s route number and the nickname students gave him, “Captain,” included the message: “An awesome school bus driver is hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget.”

This meaningful recognition reflects the heart of our First Serves program: showing up with care, building trust, and making a lasting impact in the communities we serve.🌟

High School Students from Cherry Hill Public Schools, Cherry Hill, NJ were invited to write about someone who has made a difference in their lives. One student chose his school bus driver, Ed Rivera ("Mr. Eddie").🚍💛

"Ed is a reliable and dependable driver who keeps his bus in immaculate condition at all times," Location Manager Margo Sadowy shared. "It is heartwarming to see the relationship he has with his students. I am very proud of him and what he has accomplished."
