We’re thrilled to welcome Alexandra (Alix) Hart as the Interim Executive Director of Community for Ethical Jewelry beginning December 15, 2025!

Many of you know Alix from her longtime leadership and deep commitment to CEJ’s mission. A former Board President and Executive Director, she has been instrumental in shaping our programs, values and community.

We’re sharing a heartfelt thank-you to Barbara Wheat, who will be stepping down as CEJ’s Executive Director on December 15th, 2025, after 3.5 years of dedicated leadership.

Barbara has guided CEJ through major milestones, from our first member town hall and joining the UN Fashion & Lifestyle Network to programs in Tucson and Atlanta, and helping lead our transition to the name Community For Ethical Jewelry. We’re grateful for her collaboration with our president, board, and advisory council throughout this time.
