CRMF partners with the poor in Madagascar as they strive to overcome their challenges The response was Caring Response Madagascar Foundation.

And when I watched this video, I wept too.
Women in the rural Toamasina Self-Help Groups worked together saving $2 a week to share their savings. They made loans to one another, and they built small businesses. They lifted themselves from poverty by working together. No handouts, just hard work and determination to make a better life for their families.
Here are their stories in the aftermath of Cyclone Gezani.

The Sisters at the Dispensary Antsiramandroso live lives of great love. They provide medical care for hundreds of desperately poor people in remote rural Toamasina. Cyclone Gezani has destroyed all 37 solar panels that enable the dispensary to operate. The laboratory where they perform diagnostic testing is in tatters. The dispensary outbuildings are severely damaged. These Sisters have been our partners since CRMF began its work in 2000.
