How close is your protection when you answer the door? "I once opened the back door at night to let the dog out and came face to face with someone trying to break in. By the time I got my pistol from the other room, the man had fled and escaped. My little girls were home. If he was armed and prepared to fight, it could have ended terribly for me and my family.
