The Heavy Equipment Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment. The Equipment Operator is proficient in the use of a diverse range of construction equipment, including, Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Rollers, and other pieces of equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
• Previous experience operating construction equipment.
• Previous knowledge of site work and utilities is preferred
• A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record is preferred.
• Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (day time/night time).
• Ability to work outside in all seasons.
• Must have a “safety first” attitude. Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures is required.
• Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling and cleaning) on equipment.
• Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
• Perform other construction related duties as required.
• Timely and regular attendance is an essential requirement.
