the first painting I’ve completed since having my second baby last summer 🥹 and because of it being painted in the early months of my daughters life, this will forever be hanging in her room ✨

It was also just really refreshing to paint this scene because it’s what I imagine the Scottish Highlands to look when it’s not in the dead ass of winter (which unfortunately is the only time I’ve seen them so far hah! still highly magical tho 😍). It’s also the warmest palette of colors I’ve ever attempted to use and truly, just really happy with how it turned out 💜

Resurrecting this feed with my greatest creation of 2025 🥹 we welcomed in our little Evelyn in May last year and well that’s kinda why I disappeared for a while 😅 because I’ve been soaking up every single second, slowly adjusting to being a mama of 2, homeschooling my older son, and healing from a c section all in 8 months! But honestly I couldn’t be happier for our family though to finally be a little bigger with the baby I wished and dreamed about for a long, long time 🥹💜

I’ve still been working too over at photographing other sweet families and babies and plan to keep that going strong through this year and next. So if you want you and yours photographed, you can hmu over there 💜

I’m excited to be leveling out postpartum and carving out creative time again after finally getting my new studio finished and together (enough)!! I have a lot of quiet plans for this space this year… but mainly just really want to get back to creating and sharing it all again 💜 Hopefully you come along for the crazy ride ✨

I don’t have any new art to share today. But I do have another huge piece of me to share and thats photos from our recent roadtrip adventure to the southwest U.S. ✨ cuz in case you didn’t know, I’m actually a photographer and run a full time business over at !! And have been full time in it since 2016 ✨

But being out in these new, vast landscapes… my photographer side was gloooowwinnnggg. And actually in a way it hasn’t for years. I was in literal awe at all these (new for me) states :)

But what’s changed from a few years ago is I was studying how I’d paint these scenes! Studying the range of colors, depths of shadows and light, what mediums I’d love to use…. My brain didn’t used to do that as I was taking photos. I was almost taking these instead to use as references later!

Maaaaybe i need to do a whole paint series where I turn some of my actual photos into paintings?? 😜

7 months of carrying you…. but only if you knew you’re the one carrying me right back to where I belong ✨ I hope I can continue to show this baby girl, and to my Leo, that following your dreams isn’t only possible… but it’s necessary. That creation = growth and will be the strongest road to unlocking the best versions of yourself even through life’s greatest struggles. Besides, you only live once so why not have a little fun in the process!! 🤪

This month started off with my baby shower my Aunt hosted for me and I’m still blown away by all of it 🥹 a couple weeks ago I absolutely had to take time to preserve as many flowers and memories from this super special day as I could!!! And turned to my pastels for the first time in a while to attempt capturing my shower flowers for baby girl and pressing them for future projects with her (hopefully lol)✨

pics from the studio and life lately✨ still getting used to being in this new space but my favorite thing so far is the way the evening light glows up this space. It is truly unreal 😍✨ it often stops me dead in my tracks and I blame not finishing my pieces on it 😂
