📍WEATHER - You may have been woken up from some overnight storms, but that will lead us into a decent day and even better weekend. Meteorologist Adam Burniston has your forecast!
📍OVERTURNED SEMIS - (As of 3:15am) 75 SB at Ezzard Charles has lane closures in both directions due to overturned semi, another at 75 at Sharon Rd has one lane closed after overnight storms/wind
📍WAR WITH IRAN - Trump saying agreement has been made to open Strait of Hormuz, end Iran nuclear program. Says him, Vance may travel to Europe for signing ceremony. Iran Foreign Ministry says this is speculation and no final decision has been made. Stocks went up, price of oil dropped below $90 after Trump announcement.
📍BETHEL POLICE CHIEF - Chad Essert arrested and accused of dozens of s*x crimes against a minor who was a former student. Allegations come from between 2005-2010. Was already on leave pending separate investigation within department.
📍MT. ADAMS BREAK-INS - Cincinnati Police searching for group of teenagers who broke into dozens of cars in Mt. Adams. Security cameras caught the crime spree around 1:30 Thursday morning. Nearly 50 vehicles hit.
📍CPD REPORT - City and Police leaders defending department after scathing report by "Campaign Zero." Group analyzed 17 years of contact card data, found black Cincinnati residents were stopped 3.5x more than white residents in 2025, more than 2x likely to be searched, nearly 2x to have use of force against them. City Manager Sheryl Long says city wasn't consulted for report, working to provide data context not included, supports department and interim chief who says it's "misleading" and "fails to provide important context."
📍KY MEDICAL CANNIBIS - Kentucky House Majority Whip urging Attorney General to prosecute Kentuckians who follow executive order of Gov. Beshear who added 15 conditions to medical cannabis eligibility list.
📍PULSE NIGHT CLUB - 10 years since Pulse Nightclub mass shooting in Orlando. 49 killed, 58 others injured at LGBTQ club. Deadliest shooting in US history at the time.
🥊UFC WHITE HOUSE FIGHT - UFC Freedom 250 set to go on for now even as lawsuit is filed claiming the fight violates national park regulations against sporting events on federal park land. Event is in conjunction with Trump's 80th birthday Sunday.
🏓VLASIC CLASSIC - Major pickleball event featuring more than 500 players begins today at Sawyer Point. Pros and amateurs all taking the court with food trucks and live music on site for this growing game.
🏈KY BARRELS - Saturday night, nationally televised game cancelled at Truist Arena because of "adequate travel arrangements not being secured by Oregon's current ownership," according to a AF1 league statement.
