Hamilton County assistant prosecutor resigns after social media posts about Charlie Kirk 09/27/2025

Cincinnati Enquirer News Writer KEVIN GRASHA finally got around to reporting on Hamilton County Assistant Prosecutor RYAN NELSON.

The paper says Ryan Nelson had been on administrative leave ever since the white woman who runs the FOP-aligned Signal 99 page went after him for a social media post he made about CHARLIE KIRK, and Ryan "formally resigned" earlier today (Friday September 26). They got another scalp. πŸ˜”

The newspaper says the office of Hamilton County Prosecutor CLUELESS CONNIE Pillich declined to comment about Ryan's resignation.

The article failed to discuss whether a government official like Clueless Connie can fire (or force the resignation of) a government employee based on a social media post without violating the First Amendment. That's strange considering the issue of employees being fired or forced to resign over social media posts about Charlie Kirk is being discussed by news organizations all over the country, AND the fact that Enquirer Executive Editor BERYL LOVE just published an opinion column on this issue earlier today.

The Enquirer didn't tell readers if Ryan was forced to resign (or if they even asked about this). They do quote from his resignation letter. "Nelson's letter also says additional complaints were made about him while he was on administrative leave. He said the complaints lacked "full context and nuance" but "their mere existence, in combination with outside pressures, has compromised my ability to effectively perform my duties as a leader, a mentor, a coworker and a friend at the standard that I hold myself to."" ✊🏾

I guess no one should be surprised that the lazy, local, biased newspaper didn't examine if and/or why there's a double standard in Clueless Connie's office -- Ryan (a Black man) had to resign from his position for expressing his opinion about a non-lawyer or judge in a private social media post while RICHARD 'Dick Kip' GUINAN (a white dude) hasn't been forced to resign or fired (or disciplined at all) for making a false and degrading statement about Judge ALAN C. TRIGGS in The Enquirer on September 8, 2025. πŸ‘ŠπŸΎπŸ’₯
