Also...we are making a special round of Guzek Bread for the Concert in the Park tonight.
Beautiful evening to sit at Depot with warm bread and jam out 🫶

This is my dad's, husband's, and oldest son's Independence Township Parks and Recreation Baseball team.

This is my jam.

We are having the time of our lives.

This whole bench of boys, actually young men, have become my babies. It happens to me every year. I gain a whole new family.

The parents, siblings, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, friends and neighbors, too, become mine.

I love the umpires and the other teams, as well.
Clarkston, Springfield, Brandon, and Waterford coming together every year to ball.

Time. Of. My. Life.

I could go on and on.
In fact, I do go on and on about it in an upcoming edition of Clarkston Living Magazine. So, be looking for that 🫶

But for now, thank You God for Independence Township Parks and Recreation Baseball and Softball.
Thank You, God, for Noah Burgess and his creative, considerate, management of this program. Thank You, God, for all the young and aspiring umpires, many of whom this is their first job, ever, doing a very difficult and high intensity task. Thank You, God, for all the volunteer coaches, pouring into the lives of players and families alike (and prayerfully not bullying the young aspiring umpires). Thank You, God, for all the kids playing their hearts out, learning and making memories playing America's Favorite Pastime.
And thank You, God, for all the fans cheering on their teams (and prayerfully not bullying the young aspiring umpires.)

Thank You God for this rich life.
Look, we ain't trying to go to the Olympics.
We just want to play ball.
And thanks to Independence Township Parks and Recreation, we are.

PS... You may notice the cones being set up on our street. The City is doing road repairs starting in August. I'm not sure the details or how it will affect the bread stand, but I will keep you posted as we learn more.

But I don't think I've ever smiled that big.

Totally rad.

We've been calling him Mr. Pink at baseball this year, cause of his pink cleats, and pink batting gloves.

But, I think we're gonna start calling him Mr. Big Fish for the playoffs.

Anyway, it's too rad not to share.
