We announced the Skillet Award winners this morning during our County Presidents’ Conference! This new award highlights County Farm Bureaus that went above and beyond in donating protein, food items and monetary contributions to local food organizations during the 2025 program year.

Johnson County Farm Bureau earned top honors for total pounds of protein donated, contributing 1,500 pounds.

Cass County Farm Bureau was recognized for the highest monetary contribution at $5,005.

Denton County Farm Bureau received the award for the greatest number of items given, totaling 3,300 food items donated.

The Farmers Feeding Families program was launched in 2025 by TFB’s YF&R Advisory Committee to address food insecurity at the local level by connecting farmers and ranchers with food banks, shelters and community aid organizations in their own counties.

Meet our AgLead XVII class! This week in Waco, these Texas Farm Bureau members kicked off their two-year leadership journey with four days of intensive training and discussion.

The sessions focused on strengthening their communication skills, sharpening their leadership abilities and engaging in conversations about agricultural advocacy.

AgLead XVII also visited the McGregor Research Center to learn more about the research and science shaping the future of cattle production.

Over the next two years, these members will travel across Texas, the U.S. and around the world to gain a broader perspective on agriculture, leadership and public policy.

AgLead XVII members include:
