Today we celebrate the life of Jane Duckworth. Jane was Clemson faithful through and through — a former Clemson elementary school teacher, a devoted supporter of Clemson University, and an Honorary Clemson Alumna. To us, she was something even rarer: A Good Shepherd.

Jane was one of our very first team members at The Shepherd Hotel. In the early days, Jane engaged her Clemson community to support the launch of The Shepherd Hotel and Delish Sisters, opening doors and making connections in big ways. The heart of The Shepherd Hotel has always been the support of the local community, and Jane was at the very center of that. She joyfully welcomed and served our guests as a greeter and she poured encouragement into the first ClemsonLIFE team members.

Jane's legacy will live on long beyond her passing, at The Shepherd Hotel, at Delish Sisters, and throughout the Clemson community.
