Meet Logan! 🚚

Ten years ago, Logan joined Clemson Rural Health as an intern with a lifelong love of mechanics and a brand-new passion for mobile health care. Today, as our Project Officer and Evaluator, he oversees the fleet of mobile health units that carries our team to some of South Carolina's most remote communities.

Logan's 2016 internship coincided with the arrival of our third mobile unit and the world's first solar-powered mobile clinic. When the opportunity came in 2020 to design a new mobile unit from the ground up, Logan was ready. He'd spent years listening, observing, and taking notes.

"I listened to and observed pain points in past mobiles and worked to improve that design on current and future models," he said. "I also like to keep track of changing technology and request those things be incorporated in our mobile clinic builds."

For Logan, the mechanics have always been in service of something bigger.

"By keeping the mobiles on the road and keeping the costs reasonable, our skilled providers can deliver the right care in the right place. We see better patient outcomes — and we get to know the people we care for where they are, not just in an office setting."
