Hey California friends! I’m gearing up to post another round of focus groups in CA. This time in Santa Rosa. If you have attended in San Matteo back in April or Berkeley in May, please don’t apply because we are presenting the same case you have already heard and so you wouldn’t be eligible to hear it again.

We’ve heard from folks in the East Bay and the Peninsula areas on this matter, and now we are looking for residents of the North Bay area, specifically Marin, Sonoma and Napa counties. Hulu’s recently released series “The Girl From Plainville” covers the true crime case of Michelle Carter, also known as the texting-suicide case. Many of the details depicted in the show are dramatized for added effect, but some actually reflect real-life events of the case and the trial.

Michelle Carter was convicted of involuntary manslaughter for encouraging her boyfriend, Conrad Roy III, to kill himself through a series of text messages and phone calls. She was sentenced to 15 months in jail.
