Senate Bill 225 passed the Ohio House today, and the Ohio Senate unanimously concurred on the House amendments.
The Bill now heads to Governor DeWine for signature - with an effective date 90 days later.
When it becomes effective, it will temporarily double the funding for Ohio’s Historic Tax Credit Program and Ohio’s Opportunity Zone Program, and it will bring much-needed enhancements to both of those valuable Programs.
Senator Kirk Schuring deserves a lot of credit for introducing this Bill and for sheparding it through the legislative process, as does NAIOP and the other organizations that advocated for its passage.
