Happy 4th of July! πŸŽ† From our GOBDF family to yours β€” we hope today is full of sunshine, good company, and a little extra freedom to just enjoy it.

Last week, GOBDF hosted its Cleveland Summer Youth Golf Clinic β€” and it was a week to remember.

Young golfers spent the week building foundational skills with Coach Rick and Coach Mike, starting each morning with yoga led by Coach Shannon, and competing in fun on-course challenges throughout the week.

Rain or shine, these kids brought energy and heart every single day.

The week closed with a graduation ceremony at Topgolf β€” a celebration of new skills, new friendships, and growing confidence on and off the course.

Programs like this are made possible by community support β€” including the upcoming Schwager Family Golf Outing on July 20 at Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley. Every dollar raised helps GOBDF continue delivering experiences like this one for families across Ohio.

There's still time to register or sponsor a hole or a prize β€” link here: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/theschwagerfamilygolfouting2026/

We are SO excited β€” registration is officially open for the GOBDF Flying Horse Farms Adventure Camp Weekend! πŸ•

This is one of our favorite events of the year, and this September we want as many of our families there as possible. A full Friday-to-Sunday at one of Ohio's most beautiful camp settings, designed for kids and teens with bleeding disorders and the people who love them.

Here's what the weekend looks like: high ropes, low ropes, canoeing, arts and crafts, a talent show, campfire nights, caregiver programming, and a whole lot of joy.

TWO PROGRAMS β€” ONE WEEKEND:
Family Camp (Ages 6–12)
For campers with a qualifying diagnosis and their families. Check in Friday, September 11th at 5:30pm and spend the weekend creating, exploring, and connecting.
Teen Retreat (Ages 13–17)
For teens with a qualifying diagnosis β€” or a sibling enrolled in Family Camp. Your own programming, your own space, your people.

When: Friday–Sunday, September 11–13, 2026
Where: Flying Horse Farms, 5260 OH-95, Mt. Gilead, OH 43338
Deadline: Register by Thursday, August 6th

GOBDF membership is required to attend.
