Drawing on decades of scholarship and her service on Pope Francis’ 2016 Commission for the Study of the Diaconate of Women, Dr. Zagano explores the history of women deacons in the early Church, the Vatican’s ongoing discernment, and what restoring the female diaconate could mean for the future of Catholic ministry and leadership.
