OFFICIAL NEWS: Dr. Roy Y. Chan — an expert on education policy, particularly how policies affect student retention and completion — has joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Education & Director of Graduate Studies in Education at Lee University, effective July 1, 2021. Dr. Chan is currently Director of Lee University LEAP, where he led the renewal of a 5-year TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) grant of approximately $1.3 million funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The Helen DeVos College of Education - Lee University is excited to welcome Dr. Chan this Fall 2021, where he will oversee and advise several graduate programs, including the M.Ed., MSHEA, Ed.S., and Ed.D. degrees. SPOTLIGHT: This week, Lee University LEAP is pleased to announce that Hannah E. Sexton ('21), who received her B.A. in Psychology, has been named the recipient of this year's prestigious “2021 Lee University LEAP ENGAGE Award” at Lee University. Congratulations, Hannah! :)

During the past four years, Hannah has served in numerous leadership positions on campus, including as our very own LEAP Peer Leader and LEAP Peer Mentor. Hannah holds the title as our longest standing LEAP Peer Mentor since Fall 2018 and recently graduated magna cm laude from the LeeU Arts & Sciences. Upon graduation, Hannah will pursue the M.S. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lee this Fall 2021.
