Update from Sgt. Andrew Thomas (2nd District):
In March, a year-long investigation into mobile drug dealing culminated in the arrest of 40 people suspected of involvement in coordinated dealing of primarily fentanyl, co***ne, and methamphetamines. The activity was centered on Walton Avenue but extended into the HBR-MCC area. Sgt. Thomas said the longer investigation allowed them to identify more people within the organization, rather than just take low-level dealers off the streets quickly.
