“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10

The first verse of Psalm 46 says, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”
We all have this void, this empty hole in our hearts. The hole is filled with sins that we think will make us feel better. But in reality that void in our heart keeps emptying out slowly, like a leaky valve. Over time we realize that we still feel like something is lacking in our life.
But with filling your heart with a constant flow of God, you will feel more complete. The hole in your heart will overflow with love. It won’t leak out like before when trying to fill the hole with sins. Life with God isn’t always easy. But God makes sure that you are taken care of. You are watched over even if you don’t know it. God IS our refuge and strength.
God puts us in situations that you may question, “Why me?” Why you? Because He is testing your strength. He wants to see how loyal you are to Him. It almost feels like he will drop you right in the middle of a good part of your life, and it will feel like you are falling hard and you won’t be able to catch yourself, but God will always catch you in the end.
God is our refuge and strength. Find a home in Him.
