Tailoring and altering the fabric of people’s lives to fit in a changing, social, and economic environment.
Purpose
Train, teach, educate. Utilizing the professional techniques of tailoring and alteration, by teaching individual the art of classic tailoring techniques. Using the technical skills of tailoring and alterations as a stepping stone to enable individual who are left out economically to learn a marketable skill. Individual who comes through this school will be able to professionally alter and re- constructs basic garments by utilizing the follow basic skills:
• Learn the techniques of fit and how to fit different body types
• Learn and develop basic sewing techniques
• Asses the quality of a ready wear garments
• Acquire the knowledge to further their education in the apparel industry if he or she so desires
