✨ Please join us in welcoming Maya Lightfoot to the Cleveland City Ballet faculty for the 2026–2027 season! ✨

We are thrilled to have Maya joining our team this season, where she will be teaching Tumblebugs, Acro, and Tumbling classes.

Tomaya “Maya” Lightfoot graduated from Indiana University with a BFA in Contemporary Dance. Maya is an experimental dancer, risk-taking choreographer, and intentional teacher who challenges students to explore their fullest artistic potential.

Her recent choreographic works include Lucid (2026), Beyond the Wall (2026), 9 Choirs (2025), It’s Not About the Dishes (2025), and Life Is Good (2025). Professionally, she has presented work at the Katherine Dunham Dance Festival and collaborated across concert, film, and community settings.
