One Session at a Time is 9 🎉

What started as a solo practice grew into a group because I wanted to help other therapists experience private practice—and learn the things it took me years to figure out on my own. I’m so grateful for the clinicians who’ve chosen to work with me and for the growth and confidence I’ve had the honor of witnessing.

I appreciate everyone who’s been part of this journey and helped build the trust clients place in One Session. Many clients continue returning to us even after their therapist has moved on—and to me, that validates all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into running a group practice.

I’m also flexing my supervisor wings more 🪽—with 3 MFT supervisees and another intern starting soon. Two of the three interns I’ve had are now permanent team members, which means so much to me.

Exciting changes are coming, including a new space. Thank you to every client who trusts us with their stories. It’s such a privilege to be present for you.

Happy 7 Years for One Session at a Time!
I'm so proud of the growth and learning that has happened over the past few years. I'm mostly proud of how safe & comfortable our clients feel; even if a therapist has left, people have called wanting to continue coming to our office. I appreciate you allowing us into your lives and we feel privileged to hold space for you.
To many more years of growth & learning!

Many clients view us as the ones who know, "you're the expert," "you're the professional," "you tell me." All of us can educate, but most of us are collaborating with our clients to help find answers. Whether we are in session or not, we are human.
One of my favorite interactions with a client was when I opened my kombucha and it exploded. I kept talking and asking questions as I cleaned it up and my client said, "I love how human you are right now." I laughed but it stayed with me. I have to trip, spill something, or mess up in some way in front of a client to get them to see I'm human too. So therapists, don't be afraid to show your human side to clients. I think we and they need this reminder sometimes.
