Available for Adoption - Bonded Pair Lady (26046) and Lola (26055)
Lady (26046) and Lola (26055), two peas in a pod, a bonded pair. came into our care at the start of May as they needed to be rehomed due to familial circumstances. Both dogs are very strong, have high prey drive, have high energy, and are anxious dogs. It is nearly impossible for them to function without one another, and there have been times where they insist on sharing a bed.
Lil-sister, three-year-old Lady's confidence and comfort have grown exponentially in the last few months, where she is getting in and out of the car with greater ease and is accepting of attention and affection. Lady enjoys zoomies, toys, bones, and window-watching
Big sister, four-year-old Lola, is always seeking love and affection, and even though she weighs 90 lbs, she still considers herself a lap dog. Additionally, Lola responds well to affection and praise. Her foster reports that even a quiet “good girl” can wake her from a dead sleep and immediately bring out a wagging tail and happy energy. Lola enjoys walks and car rides. However, she can use some reminders about walking nicely but is highly food motivated and enjoys just about any treat.
Both girls are learning to trust, love, and learn. With their small quirks and strengths, these girls would be best in a home with a physical fence and without young children, cats, and other dogs.

How to Have a Fantastic 4th of July with your Dogs
Independence Day is just around the corner! The Fourth of July is always a great day to celebrate with friends, family, and furry ones alike. The ASPC Animal Poison Center wants you to be sure to keep the following tips in mind while celebrating this summer holiday with your pets:
· Never leave alcoholic drinks unattended.
· Keep an eye on those chemicals. Do not apply any sunscreen or insect repellent product to your pet that is not labeled specifically for use on animals. You should also keep citronella candles, insect coils and oil products out of pets’ reach, too.
· Be wary of where you keep your matches and lighter fluid.
· Keep your pets on their normal diet. Sudden changes in your pet’s diet (even if it’s just for one day) can sometimes lead to indigestion and diarrhea.
· Remember to keep a no-glow zone. For parties and celebrations that last into the night, glow sticks and glow jewelry are popular party favors. While the luminescent substance contained in these products is not highly toxic, excessive drooling and gastrointestinal irritation could still result from ingestion, and intestinal blockage could occur from swallowing large pieces of the plastic containers
· Be careful when it comes to fireworks! While exposure to lit fireworks can potentially result in severe burns and/or trauma to the face and paws of curious pets, even unused fireworks can pose a danger and cause blockages if ingested.
· Keep gates and doors closed. Given all the excitement around Independence Day parties, it isn’t uncommon for some pets to get scared and run away. Be sure that all exits are securely closed, and that your pet is inside or in your sight at all times. Also, be sure that your pet is wearing proper identification tags, and that their microchip is up to date should they get out.
