The Growing Place

Our Story

A preschool of First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland.

We are a Christian preschool ministering to two, three and four year olds. We meet from 8am to 12pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

The Growing Place strives to share the Love of God with our community by offering our little ones a safe, healthy, happy place to grow. We intend to serve the whole child, intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

Our preschool ministry will achieve these goals by:
- surrounding the children and their families with prayer
- loving each child and recognizing him/her as a unique Child of God created in God’s Image
- preparing all children for positive learning and growth regardless of ability to pay tuition
- providing a creative and stimulating environment which encourages freedom of choice and self expression
- providing a variety of experiences with open-ended materials that encourage exploration
- utilizing the gifts of members of our community to enhance the children’s experiences
- offering regular, developmentally appropriate opportunities for worship
- providing a community of support to parents
- being effective stewards of our preschool facilities by enhancing and utilizing them to their fullest extent
