Water service has been restored to Hooven now that the valve replacement has been successfully completed.

A 48 hour Boil Water Advisory will be in place after water service is restored. All water should be boiled for 1 minute prior to consumption or food preparation. The advisory will be lifted once a negative test comes back.

🚨Scheduled Repair and Shut Down🚨

Please be advised that on Monday, 7/13/26, a water main valve repair will be made at Hooven Ave and Monroe Ave, and water service will be temporarily interrupted during the repair process.

The affected areas will be in Hooven, Ohio, from Chidlaw to 511 Hooven Ave. Water will be turned off starting at 8:00 AM and will remain off until the new valve is successfully installed.

Replacing this valve will better help isolate areas of Hooven when emergency repairs arise and during future scheduled repairs in the area.

A 48 hour Boil Water Advisory will be in place after water service is restored. All water should be boiled for 1 minute prior to consumption or food preparation. The advisory will be lifted once a negative test comes back.

The electrical issue affecting the Cleves Waterworks distribution plant has been remedied, and the water distribution system is fully operational.

System pressures have stabilized. Throughout the day, Waterworks personnel will continue managing consumer demand while replenishing our storage tanks to normal operating levels.

The Village of Cleves is aware of a water system issue resulting from a localized electrical problem at the Cleves Waterworks distribution plant.

Our crews are actively working to correct the issue and stabilize system pressures. During this time, customers may experience temporary fluctuations in water pressure.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to restore normal operations. I will continue to provide updates as we make progress.
