What is it and why is it different from other body contouring practices?

At Bhava, I combine the practice of Lypossage (a researched and proven manual technique that softens fascia and reduces the size of fat cells and the facial binding which causes cellulite, stimulates the production of collagen in the skin, opens and clears the lymphatic system and assists in moving waste and fluids from the interstitium into the lymph to be removed from the body through normal metabolism) with electrical modalities that break down, liquify, and/or shrink fat cells to reduce fat/dimension and firm skin.

*Bhava uses 30k ultrasound cavitation to burst and liquify fat cells.

Fact: most medical aesthetics clinics use 20-30k cavitation, which effectively reduces fat. Most home units are 40k machines, which lack the power to rupture or reduce fat cells. 30k is able to reach deeper into the fat layer and effectively remove the fat.

*Bhava uses 160mw diode laser lipo pads to liquify fat in the waist, thighs, and arms.

Fact: most home units have only 5 mw diodes, which would take multiple sessions to achieve a limited result, if any at all. Laser lipo is a low level led that penetrates the wall of the fat cell, causing the contents to be spilled into the interstitium and swept away by the lymphatic system. The 5mw pads do not have the strength to affect the fat cell! They may tighten the skin and are useful in reducing cellulite, to a degree, but cannot open the fat cell. That requires 100mw or higher.

*Bhava uses Radio Frequency with vacuum for skin tightening and cellulite reduction.

Fact: RF is currently recognized as the best available non-invasive treatment for cellulite and loose/sagging skin. The use of vacuum therapy combined with RF greatly enhances and augments the process by pulling liquids, moving the lymph, and stimulating the collagen cells.

*Bhava begins each body sculpting treatment with Lypossage to open and improve lymphatic drainage, soften tissue, and stimulate the movement of liquids. This is followed by a 15-20 minute electrical modality (which modality is determined by the client's goal.) Finally, a brief lymphatic massage and dry brush completes the process.

Fact: the use of massage and manual lymphatic drainage is essential to the success of treatment to avoid releasing toxins, lipids, and other fluids into a stagnated lymphatic system and to assist the body in moving the fluids out of the system. Many people already have a sluggish, loaded lymphatic system due to lack of movement, poor diet, or other issues. The system needs to be open and decongested prior to treatment so that the contents of the fat cells are not dumped into an already loaded system.

Depending on the amount of fat to be removed or skin to be tightened, size of the area and number of areas to be treated, client's goals, and client's compliance with treatment and diet/exercise, treatments should be 1-2 times a week (no less than 72 hours apart.) Results may be noticed immediately to within 3 weeks or after the 3rd treatment. Results should continue to improve over time and after treatment has ceased.

Pricing is by the minute,$1 per minute like all of my services, and most sessions will take 60 to 120 minutes (with the average being 90) 1-2 times a week for 4-8 weeks.
