Access to treatment shouldn't be delayed by unnecessary paperwork.

We're grateful to Representative Julie Johnson and Rep. Mike Lawler for introducing bipartisan legislation that would help reduce burdensome prior authorization requirements for people living with autoimmune disease and blood disorders.

Prior authorization delays can worsen health outcomes and create unnecessary stress for patients. That's why the Autoimmune Association has made reform a key advocacy priority and proudly supports this effort.

As Autoimmune Association President and CEO Molly Murray said, patients deserve timely access to the treatments they need—not delays that put their health at risk.

Thank you to Representatives Johnson and Lawler for their leadership and commitment to putting patients first. We will continue fighting every day for policies that improve access to care and remove barriers to treatment for the autoimmune community.
