It’s Feel Good Friday! 🐱🩷
This week, we had the opportunity to witness firsthand what teamwork between first responders is all about. ❤️🐾🚒
The Macomb Township Fire Department and Macomb County Animal Control worked together on a lifesaving mission to rescue a frightened kitten that found itself in quite the predicament.
Firefighters initially responded to a call for a kitten trapped inside a vehicle engine bay. Once the tiny kitten was finally freed, fear took over and it darted for the closest place it could find to hide and feel safe—unfortunately, straight into a downspout where it became stuck once again.
What happened next truly showcased the compassion and dedication of everyone involved. A Macomb Township Fire Captain quickly transported the kitten to Macomb County Animal Control, where our teams worked side-by-side with patience, care, and determination to safely free this scared little soul.
Thankfully, despite being terrified and confused after its ordeal, the kitten was unharmed and is now safe.
We are incredibly grateful for the quick actions, kindness, and teamwork shown throughout this rescue. It is always an honor working alongside our fellow first responders who continually go above and beyond, not only for people, but for the animals that depend on us too. 🐱❤️
Sometimes the smallest rescues leave the biggest impact. Way to go team! ❤️
