Kiseki Horse Rescue

Last night, we bid farewell to a truly remarkable mare, one who had captured our hearts and left an indelible mark on our rescue as Kiseki's inaugural sanctuary horse. We first met Sis at an auction, where she stood strong despite being overlooked by others, her strength and spirit a testament to her resilience; the only other bidder, a stark reminder of the harsh realities, highlighted her value beyond mere physical appearance. Upon arrival, Sis's fears slowly dissipated under the gentle guidance of Andrew Breton, transforming her into a beacon of hope and trust. Though she delighted in testing boundaries, whether it was slipping out of halters and lead lines or playfully shredding rugs, Sis's true nature shone through - a loving companion to Candy, a caring nursemaid to Lily, and a loyal herdmate to both the Kiseki and our own herd. My heart overflows with pride and gratitude for the time we shared with this extraordinary mare, yet aches with sadness at her departure. May Sis now run free, her spirit unbridled, knowing she was deeply cherished.
