π€ Rodeo weekend is here! Whether you're competing, cheering from the stands, or working behind the scenes, make safety your top priority.
π Sinor EMS Rodeo Safety Tips:
π Stay alert around livestock. Horses and bulls can react unexpectedlyβeven experienced handlers should stay aware of their surroundings.
π’ Wear the right gear. Closed-toe boots, long pants, gloves, and approved protective equipment (helmets and vests where applicable) can help reduce injury.
βοΈ Beat the heat. Oklahoma summer temperatures can be dangerous. Drink plenty of water before you feel thirsty, take breaks in the shade, and watch for signs of heat exhaustion.
𧴠Protect your skin. Apply sunscreen, wear a hat, and use sunglasses to reduce sun exposure during long days outdoors.
π§ Keep children close. Rodeo grounds can be crowded with moving vehicles, trailers, horses, and livestock. Hold young children's hands and establish a meeting place if you get separated.
π« Never stand behind livestock. Animals can kick, buck, or back up without warning.
π Stay out of restricted areas. Only authorized participants should enter arenas, chutes, or livestock holding areas.
π©Ή Be prepared. Know where first aid stations and EMS crews are located before the event begins.
π In an emergency, call 911 immediately. Quick medical care can make all the difference.
Have fun, support your local rodeo, and help make it a safe event for everyone! We will be there on standby should you need us! π€ β€οΈπ
