Bulldog Bender Manufacturer Among Exhibitors who Found Success at NECA 2018 Philadelphia

Bulldog Manufacturing made quite an impression during NECA 2018 Philadelphia. The popular exhibitor, based in Owensboro, Ky., makes cable benders for electrical professionals.

“We weren’t able to leave the booth all day,” said sales associate Renee Stogner. “Our booth always gets a lot of action. It’s like a party.”

The National Electrical Contractors Association’s annual gathering was held this year on Sept. 29-Oct. 2 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The trade show floor brings together hundreds of manufacturers and distributors for members of the electrical construction industry.

Stogner’s father, Vince May, has invented several tools for the company, including the original Bulldog Bender and the Hip Clip (a new product in 2018).

“We like to have multiple products up our sleeve,” Stogner said.

May was an electrician by trade and formed May Electric with his brothers before leaving in 2012 to go into manufacturing. His wife is another sales associate for the company, and they have attended past conventions on a regular basis.

“We always try to get to the NECA Show,” Stogner said.

Stogner added that some of the benefits to being at NECA conventions are making connections and meeting people from all aspects of the business. They appreciate the opportunity to form partnerships with distributors and build relationships with other exhibitors.

“We’re all on this journey together,” she said.
