I'm keeping everyone as fresh as I can.
8 years ago it was just as hot and every bit as humid in a quaint and quiet Pennsylvania pasture. A very pregnant Pippi decided that the world was ready to meet little Pepper.
Plus it was too gosh darn hot to keep carrying her around!

Once a year all of our feathered friends have a hard molt.
The past couple of days Patience has dropped all of her major wing feathers.
Birds are very vulnerable at this time to predators without their gift of flight. Plus their body is working overtime to produce new feathers that are extremely delicate as they start to emerge.
With the heat wave this week, Patience will be able to sit in her cool pool with comfort and safety while her feathers take their time pushing their way through.
And of course, D**k and the ducks are dipping bills in the little kids pool right beside her. ❤️
