Twisted Tree Lodging

Larry laid the tile floor in the bathroom with mosaic tile, which he had never worked with before. The picture on the left is the subfloor work he had to do (pulled out the old gross carpet, cut away rotted subfloor by the toidy and replaced and leveled all). The right shows the finished product. I love it!

We've done a lot of work to make the Stonestreet Cottage look as finished as it does. The picture on the left is where we had an old chimney removed in the family room. The room on the other side of the wall is the kitchen, and this used to be the chimney for the wood cooking stove! Larry found some unused cedar planks in the garage and I stained them, and the picture on the right shows the finished product. Can you tell where the chimney was??

We have been busy updating the Stonestreet Cottage this fall. New paint, inside and out, and vintage subway tile in the kitchen have made it that much more "adorable" according to our guests! Here's the new paint in the family room and kitchen.
