Apprentice Dock Builder (1 Position Available)– Coeur d’Alene, ID Pay: $21–$26 per hour to start (entry-level / no experience required) + pay increase after 90 day review. Full-time | Immediate start available
About the Role: We are a growing local dock-building company on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene and surrounding lakes. We design, build, install, and maintain custom docks, boathouses, and waterfront structures for homeowners and marinas throughout North Idaho.
We are hiring a motivated apprentice who is ready to learn the trade from the ground up. No previous dock-building or construction experience is necessary—we provide full on-the-job training with experienced crew leads. If you’re hardworking, reliable, and enjoy working outdoors on the water, this is your opportunity to start a rewarding career in marine construction.
What You’ll Do
• Assist the crew in constructing, installing, and repairing docks and waterfront structures
• Learn to use hand tools, power tools, and marine construction equipment safely
• Help with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
• Work on the water and around boats (training provided)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
• Follow instructions and grow into more skilled tasks as you gain experience
What We’re Looking For
• No experience required — we train the right people
• Strong work ethic and reliability (show up on time, every time)
• Ability to perform physical labor (lift 50+ lbs, work in all weather, stand for long periods)
• Comfort working outdoors and on/around water
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Team player with a positive attitude and attention to safety
• Must be 18+ years old
