What a great start to the year! It’s been awesome to talk to so many curious arts-supporters at all of the curriculum nights, and to bring on so many new donors, as well as many returners. A reminder that all donations at the $100 level and above receive one of these tote bags! They’re pretty exclusive out in the wild, just sayin’ 🤩

Haldane Arts Alliance

Haldane Arts Alliance is a small but mighty nonprofit organization. Our mission is to support and promote the performing, media, visual, and literary arts at the Haldane Central School District in Cold Spring, NY, by initiating arts-related programs and performances, and by providing enrichment opportunities for students as well as professional development for staff.

Haldane Arts Alliance coordinates the Food Town Art Gallery and the annual Grade Five Arts Alive program. We also host monthly forums about Haldane arts that are open to all Haldane arts supporters in our community. We publish a Haldane arts calendar each year to promote student art work and performances. We welcome partnerships with other Haldane organizations, as well as local businesses and arts nonprofits. And we are always looking for volunteers to support arts programs and experiences for students. Haldane Arts Alliance welcomes your participation and input!

Haldane Arts Alliance supports our students and our school district by raising funds for arts enrichment. As a nonprofit, we are raising funds to supplement district resources through grants, sponsorships, and donations by individuals. You can help!

Before Haldane Arts Alliance: A little background. Haldane’s Board of Education created an ad hoc arts committee in 2012 to determine if establishing a new entity would benefit the arts instruction and arts after-school programs in the district. The committee also identified improvements to support arts programs and arts instruction that were included in a proposal to update Haldane’s auditorium and athletic facilities. Suggestions for auditorium upgrades included the projection room, audio, and lighting equipment, stage and acoustics. In 2013, the Haldane arts committee became the Haldane Arts Booster Club (HABC). The HABC began to hold monthly meetings on actively attended by parents, teachers, administrators, arts educators, and other Haldane arts supporters. The HABC’s goal was to support arts-related programs and initiatives at Haldane. In 2018, the Haldane Arts Alliance was founded as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization to continue the terrific work accomplished by the HABC, and to build on it, with a goal of providing even more support for the arts at Haldane by adding fundraising capacity.
