I love reading about Peter in the Bible! For some reason, I relate so much to his story!

I wrote the song "Unmoved By You" about Peter's interaction with Jesus in his boat (Luke 5).

After a long night of catching no fish, the disciples decided to call it quits. Jesus then stepped into Peter's boat and told him to cast again on the other side. Peter obeys and is blown away by the amount of fish they caught.

It was a miracle.

What hits me is Peter's reaction. He says, "depart from me Lord! I am a sinful man!" When Peter experiences the beauty & glory of Jesus, he becomes very aware of his sin. The only appropriate response is, "how can He be with a person like me?"

Jesus is unfazed. He already knew that. Instead of running away, Jesus stepped closer and invited him into relationship.

I have sin in my life. Awful sin. Only God can see it most times. I am sure you have sin too. And this often causes shame. But you know what? Jesus sees it. He sees how ugly it is. And He is unmoved by it.

That is the good news! It's about the sinner and the Savior. The sick and the Healer. A perfect match.

If you feel shame or isolated because of sin, take heart. The Savior loves you! And He is unmoved by you!

Today, I am releasing a new song called "Do You Know".

Life can be really tough. Circumstances can really push or pull at us. Sometimes we find ourselves in a fog.

I have been surprised at times by the waning emotions of my heart. I don't always understand what I am going through on a deeper level, but there is someone who does. The proverb I wrote this song after says, "The purposes of a person's heart are deep waters, but a man of insight can draw them out" (Prov. 20:5).

God is the man of insight. He knows the depths of our hearts and can show us. This song is about bringing the "ocean" of our hearts to Him. "Search me, O God, and know my heart".
