Tomorrow marks one year since the devastating Hill Country floods that forever changed so many lives across Texas.

As we remember that tragic day, our hearts remain with the families who lost loved ones, those who lost their homes and livelihoods, and the communities that continue to heal from an unimaginable disaster. The profound loss of life serves as a solemn reminder of how quickly lives can be changed by the power of nature.

We are also deeply grateful for the dedicated members of the Texas Task Force and the countless first responders from across the state and nation who answered the call without hesitation. For months, our task force members worked tirelessly in difficult and often heartbreaking conditions, conducting search and rescue operations, assisting with recovery efforts, and providing hope and support to devastated communities.

The Texas Task Force Foundation is honored to support these remarkable men and women who willingly leave their families behind to serve others during our state’s darkest moments. Their professionalism, compassion, and unwavering commitment embody the very best of the emergency response community.
