At Southern Chic Frenchie Chateau, I have poured years of my life into learning, improving, and doing better for the French Bulldogs I love.

I study genetics, pedigrees, structure, health, temperament, and reproduction. I invest in extensive health testing, veterinary and reproductive care, quality nutrition, equipment, continuing education, and improving my program.

And the truth is?

Money collected…goes right back into my dogs.

Better health testing.
Better veterinary care.
Better equipment.
Better nutrition.
Better decisions.
Better opportunities to keep learning and improving.

So when someone looks at the price of a puppy and assumes, “Breeders are just in it for the money,” I have to laugh a little.

They don’t see the other side of it.

They don’t see me sleeping beside my mothers and newborn puppies. They don’t see the alarms throughout the night, the constant monitoring, the canceled plans, the emergency vet bills, or the thousands of dollars that can disappear in a heartbeat trying to save a life.

They don’t see the research, the worry, the difficult decisions—or the heartbreak when, despite everything you do, you still lose.

My puppies are raised inside my home with hands-on care, early neurological stimulation, intentional socialization, and an enormous amount of time and love.

And my responsibility does not end when a puppy leaves Southern Chic.

I offer guidance in the form of answers daily questions about health, care & maintenance, scary pop up scenarios, vaccine reminders, and mentor many. I follow their health and development, I celebrate their milestones and my heart loves the connection and continued pupdates. I learn from every breeding, every puppy, every success, and every heartbreak.

So no, I will not allow responsible breeding to be reduced to a price tag .

Supporting responsible breeders does not mean being against rescue. Both can exist. People have every right to thoughtfully choose the breed, temperament, traits, and predictability that best fit their family and lifestyle. THIS IS WHY DIFFERENT BREEDS EXIST.

I don’t just breed French Bulldogs. I have built my life around them & dedicated my life to building a responsible breeding program. Investing back into my dogs..Raising my puppies with intention…Taking responsibility for the lives I bring into this world.

And I will never apologize for caring deeply about doing it the right way.
