Brick buildingsā
With paint ā
that has seen more decades ā
than my parents are oldā
ā
Architecture laced withā
Details and intricate ā
Stories that I will never be toldā
ā
Thousands of steps ā
made on this pavement ā
Where my feet collide with timeā
ā
And as I release a sighā
Heavier than the bricks ā
These buildings are made fromā
I realize ā
ā
Maybe I'm part of it allā
Delicately woven intoā
These streets, these walls ā
ā
Meeting beautifully with fateā
As I tell my story ā
To find my place in this worldā ā ā ā ā
