The Civil Rights Movement was literally housed in the church. Freedom meetings , direct action were held there. And that that certainly included endorsing political candidates and visits from political leaders for updates! This is both a vital part of and a continuing practice in Black churches. The new change in the IRS code makes it safer for the Black churches to do what it has been doing all through American churches since Black people have been gathering to worship. If what you say is true then every Black Church in Colorado has been in violation of what you say is right!!! Also why did you campaign in churches if it is so wrong? 😑 Are you going to avoid political campaigning in churches now? Or have you changed your mind since you may not run again? This statement is problematic to say the least!
