In the field, our employees are constantly facing and overcoming new challenges. It is by no means uncommon for us to encounter surroundings that would otherwise be considered hazardous for a to fly near. As experts in inspection and , we want to share our CES best practices for handling difficult situations. One of the most important steps is to make sure you are adequately prepared for the environment and any inclement weather.

Cloudy days can lead to some dramatic pictures. With how fickle the weather is, CES is constantly dealing with and adjusting for different lighting conditions due to weather. Because the work we do is outside, we deal with more than just clouds though. All of our teams carry a wind anemometer with them to monitor wind speeds. We are constantly flying near power lines, if the wind speeds ever become too high to fly safely our teams stand down immediately. In California, we don't have to deal with it often, but when it does rain we have to stand down as well. All that being said, changing lighting conditions are welcome, because at least with those we can still do our jobs.
