The last half of my week was slammed! Wednesday I attended the Taste of Tri-Lakes. I heard the event brought in $160,000 for Tri-lakes cares. That's a lot of hungry mouths Tri-Lakes cares is going to feed in the north end of our County. Friday morning I attended the Pikes Peak Peace officers regional memorial. The keynote speaker was Garrett Swasey's widow. Later that day I attended a ribbon cutting for the new Air Force Academy visitor center. There's a planetarium in that building, how cool! To end my Friday I also attended a ribbon cutting at the new Phil Long Kia. The general manager definitely had the best suit on. Saturday morning I attended Pikes Peak State college's graduation. Lonnie Kramer from UC health was the keynote speaker. Congratulations to everyone they got their degree or certification. Lastly on Saturday evening I attended the Pikes Peak Peace officers memorial ball with my little brother. It was good dinner followed by a great evening with friends and different community leaders.
