Fun fact when i thought I wouldn’t be able to get myself a dog I was playing with the idea of training an adventure cat 😅 but luckily Chestnut came into my life and changed all that.

I’m not a hard core reading type but so far I have read three books this year! My goal was five last year and I didn’t read a single book 💀 this year I thought I’d try again and I’m shocked how much I’ve been able to read.

How did I do it?

🌸 Well I stopped charging my phone in my bedroom, crazy how much more time I have when I’m not scrolling instagram endlessly or googling every question that pops into my head.

🌸 I brought my kindle touch from 2012 back to life, it was super easy and still works exactly the same. No need to buy any new or fancy gadgets. Though I’m sad no one makes a clear case that will fit my old kindle 😅

🌸 Reminded myself that reading can be free. Two of the books I read this year came from libby (shout out to my local librarian ) My current book (a dogs purpose) I actually thrifted, which wasn’t free but it was literally $1. I don’t have to read the latest and greatest books or spend loads of money to enjoy this simple hobby and that’s the best part!

🌸 My last tip was to simply read, I stopped worrying about what to read and just started looking at it as a thing to do, like scrolling. Reading has always been a chore for me because of my mild dyslexia and adhd. But our phones have made those barriers even worse. At first it felt like work, but like going to the gym it became second nature. I got excited to go to bed and read. Which is crazy. All I had to do was enjoy myself and stop stressing.

I can’t even express how exciting it is to do the Wistful Sticker Club. It refreshes me and motivates me to get to do so many new and creative things all with an amazing group of people backing me and giving me such fun and unique ideas.

I especially love to see all the ways people color the exclusive coloring page. No matter what teir you choose you get access to a physical and digital copy of our color pages.
