BURN BAN IN EFFECT – CITY OF COLORADO SPRINGS

Effective at noon today, the Colorado Springs Fire Department has enacted a citywide burn ban.

Critical fire weather, extremely dry vegetation, and numerous active wildfires across Colorado have stretched firefighting resources thin. The risk of a rapidly spreading wildfire is high, and now is the time for everyone to do their part.

Please respect the burn ban. Outdoor burning that violates the order may result in enforcement action and citations.

One spark can have devastating consequences. Help protect our community, our firefighters, and our open spaces by following the burn restrictions until conditions improve.

Local 5 is proud to serve this community and members of local 5 are also deployed serving in other communities across the state. We will be there when you call…but please do your part.
